Susette and Holly
Service Dog
Holly was placed as a Service Dog in December 2024 with a young girl named Susette to help with her mental health. When Susette is feeling overwhelmed or stressed, Holly’s love and presence, paired with her trained skills, reassure Susette and help her feel calm. Holly can also “go find help” if Susette needs another person for support. She accompanies Susette at school, helping her navigate her days.
“It’s funny how an animal can save my life and I couldn’t. I love you so much Holly! Thank you for helping me heal. I’m so grateful and excited to have you in my life.”
~Susette D., Recipient
“When Susette has anxiety attacks, Holly handles them perfectly. She gives kisses to the face, then deep pressure. Holly knows what Susette needs. Her anxiety attacks do not last as long either because Holly is able to help pull her out of them quickly. I find so much comfort in knowing Holly is with her. They love each other so much.”
