Archie: Facility Dog

Nemours and Archie

Facility Dog

Archie was placed as a Facility Dog on the Nemours Dogs on Call team in March 2026, supporting the Paoli Primary Care team and the Associate Wellness Department at the main hospital. He helps children cope during well visits, offers a comforting paw during vaccinations, supports patients and families with his calm, gentle presence, and provides unlimited snuggles.

“Archie turns fear into connection and anxiety into calm. He also helps our patients find courage and comfort, while lifting the spirits of parents and staff. Sometimes the best medicine has four paws and a gentle heart.”

~Dr. Scott Pugh, Primary Handler

“Archie provides comfort during painful procedures and cultivates reassurance during moments of heightened anxiety. His personality, charm, and unwavering spirit shape patient interventions, bringing healing that goes well beyond medicine.”

~Kelsey Cebula, Secondary Handler
